Struvite crystals and stones are a commonly occurring problem for cats. Struvite may lead to irritation and inflammation of the urinary tract, through to a blockage of the urethra. Dr. Clauder's Anti-Struvite Diet was specifically designed to prevent struvite stones and their emergence. The solubility of struvite and dissolution of struvite stones is encouraged through the envisaged acidic pH of the urine.
