Worm Rid is as chewable tablet that contains anthelmintics active against gastrointestinal roundworms and tapeworms.
The product has two active substances:
PRAZIQUANTEL is a potent anti-parasite drug that can help to eliminate tapeworms from your dog's system.
FENBENDAZOLE is an effective treatment for eliminating a variety of parasites in your dog's system and eliminates intestinal parasites including roundworms hookworms, some tapeworms, whipworms and giardia.
For the control of the following gastrointestinal tapeworms and roundworms in dogs and puppies.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Small dogs and puppies over 6 months of age
0.5-2.5 kg bodyweight 1/4 tablet
2.5-5 kg bodyweight 1/2 tablet
6-10 kg bodyweight 1 tablet
Medium sized dogs
11-15 kg bodyweight 1 1/2 tablets
16-20 kg bodyweight 2 tablets
21-25 kg bodyweight 2 1/2 tablets
26-30 kg bodyweight 3 tablets
Large dogs
31-35 kg bodyweight 3 1/2 tablets
36-40 kg bodyweight 4 tablets
Treatment should be administered for three consecutive days for treatment of giardia.
Routine Treatment of adult cats:
This product should be administered as a single treatment at a dose rate of 5 mg praziquantel and 50 mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight (equivalent to 1/2 tablet per 5 kg bodyweight).
For example:
0.5-2.5 kg bodyweight 1/4 tablet
2.5-5 kg bodyweight 1/2 tablet
Weaned puppies & kittens under 6 months of age:
This product should be administered at a dose rate of 5 mg praziquantel and 50 mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight (equivalent e per kg to 1/2 tablet per 5 kg body weight). Treatment should be administered for three consecutive days.
The tablets can be given directly to the dog or disguised food. No starvation or specific feeding regime is needed. Treatment prior to feeding is recommended. For routine deworming of dogs only is a single treatment is necessary. This should be repeated every three months for routine worm control. In the event of heavy roundworm infestation a repeat dose may be given after 14 days. Puppies should be treated at 2 weeks of age. It is advisable to treat the mother at the same time as the puppies.
